What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are not to be confused with strip lashes "or Cluster lashes". They are individual synthetic lashes applied one by one directly onto the natural lashes with a specialty formulated adhesive to make them look longer, fuller and thicker. In addition I meticulously separate every lash ensuring they are totally weightless and natural in look and feel.
How are the lashes applied?
The lashes are applied one lash at a time, by isolating one natural eyelash and then adhere a single lash extension by using a special bonding adhesive made exclusively for eyelash extensions. This is done approximately 1mm away from the eyelid so neither the lash or adhesive has contact with your skin. Again the lashes are NOT applied to your skin - just your eyelash hair.
How long Do they last?
They can last indefinitely with touch-up appointments. Natural lashes are constantly shedding and new ones are growing in their place. Extensions will fall out along with your natural lash when it's at the end of its growth stage. As the new ones come in, they will need to have extensions attached and to keep them at their most fabulous its recommended you come in about once a month (every 2-3 weeks for maximum awesomeness!)
How long does it take?
I apply extensions lash-by-lash for the most beautiful results, and the process takes about 1-2 hours to complete on your first visit.
Will it hurt?
Not at all! I make sure that everything is done just as it should be - which means zero pain for you! if you've experienced pain getting eyelash extensions, something wasn't right with the services. In fact, most of my clients fall asleep - it's just that chill with me!
What kind of glue do you use?
It's a surgical grade, formaldehyde free, made right here in the USA.
What are your lashes made of?
Faux Mink! Faux Mink lashes are synthetic material designed to be lighter and more flexible, for a feathery, silky look that almost perfectly mimics a natural lash. Virtually undetectable, Faux Mink lashes are the premium product for lash extensions. Once you try Faux Mink lashes you'll never go back.
Do they damage your natural lashes?
Funny you should ask! The truth is that, when applied properly, eyelash extensions are actually less damaging to your natural lashes that constant mechanical curling and daily application of mascara. Some of my clients even find that their natural lashes get longer and stronger when they have the extensions because they don't have to fuss with them!
Can I wear eye make up?
Definitely! Just ditch the traditional mascara, since its ingredients break down the glue!
Can I wear mascara?
For those of us that absolutely cannot live without the black stuff, I have a special mascara that is formulated to work with extensions instead of against them. Most of the time, though, my clients just forget mascara ever existed after they get extensions!
How do I take care of them?
It's down to common sense and just a couple of rules. The first rule is DO NOT get them wed in the first 24 hours! The second rule is to use oil-free products around your lash line - be particularly sure to use an oil-free eye makeup remover. Otherwise, it's pretty much down to leaving them in peace: be sure to not rub or pull on them and avoid those mechanical curlers (because they pull!). Just be gentle like you would with all beautiful things.
I love them. How to I keep them up?
Because extensions are bonded to your natural lashes, they will fall out along with your natural lashes over the course of several weeks. Keep them pristine by coming if of a fill every 2-4 weeks if you can.
How do I know if I am ready for a fill?
You will know when about 25-30% of your lash extensions have fallen out.
Can I get the lashes for a one-time occasions?
Yes, absolutely recommended for events such as reunions, wedding, honeymoons, vacations, proms, formals, photo shoots, etc.
